The GSGS wants to congratulate its 2 alumni Dr. Sabrina Schnitt and Dr. Christoph Böhm for winning this years Geoverbund ABC/J Young Academics Award. Dr. Sabrina Schnitt was awarded the 1st prize for her research work on Advancing Ground-Based Water Vapor Profiling through Synergy of Microwave Radiometer and Dual-Frequency Radar and Dr. Christoph Böhm received the 2nd prize for his work on Atmospheric water supply to the Atacama Desert from newly developed satellite remote sensing techniques and reanalysis.

The 3rd prize was awarded to another Cologne-based scientist: Dr. Jonas Tusch for his research on Tungsten Isotope Constraints on Archean Geodynamics. Congratulations!
