By attending the COSMO2026 conference, I had the opportunity to present one of my PhD works to an expert international audience. My presentation highlighted how integrating multiple geochronometric tools allows us to quantify erosion rates and sediment‑storage patterns across a major orographic and tectonic boundary. The talk generated substantial interest and constructive feedback, particularly regarding the interpretation of inter‑catchment contrasts and the implications for long‑term landscape evolution.
Beyond my own presentation, COSMO2026 offered valuable opportunities to engage with experts working on cosmogenic nuclide-based methodological innovations, erosion modelling, and burial dating. Discussions with colleagues and collaborators helped refine several aspects of my ongoing research and opened new avenues for integrating luminescence and cosmogenic nuclide approaches in sediment‑routing studies. As I am in the final phase of my PhD, the conference also served as an important venue for networking and exploring potential postdoctoral opportunities.
