Doctoral Representatives on the GSGS Steering Committee

Since the introduction of the GSGS statutes (Ordnung) on 12 February, 2021, its doctoral candidate members are represented by two Doctoral Representatives on the GSGS Steering Committee; one is an academic staff member (>49% contract) and one has 'student' status (<50% contract, scholarship, etc.). They (and one deputy each) are elected during the annual General Assembly (see the page Organisation and the presentation on the structure and governance of the GSGS on the right).

GSGS Doctoral Council

All doctoral candidate members of the GSGS jointly constitute the GSGS Doctoral Assembly. On 18 February 2022, the new council members were welcomed to the GSGS Doctoral Council for a term of office of approx. one year. The Doctoral Council is a self-governing body that sends representatives to various higher-level representative bodies, such as the Faculty's Doctoral Representative Council. The GSGS Doctoral Council has regular meetings with the GSGS coordinator to keep each-other informed. Watch the presentation on the right for further information.
