Goodbye and hello

After more than two years of excellent work, our much valued student assistant Eileen Becker left us on 15 August to explore new horizons. From her early days in the GSGS, Eileen was a fantastic support to Karin and since May 2023 also to Hannah. The new constellation with three people in the GSGS office meant that we had to find new ways to co-operate, communicate and keep track of our activities and documents. Eileen was always happy to think along, try out new tools and procedures, and share her experiences, thus contributing significantly to the efficiency of our work.

Most members got to know Eileen as an efficient and friendly contact person in the GSGS office and during past GSGS Research Conferences.

In the past weeks, Eileen concentrated on updating the documentation of the procedures and on familiarizing her successor Henrietta Hofmann to the tasks ahead.

We thank Eileen for everything and wish her all the best on her future (career) way.
