EMIW is a key biennial event for our Applied Geophysics group, with a focus on Electromagnetic methods, which are central to our research. As a final-year PhD candidate returning from a year of parental leave, attending this conference was crucial for sharing my PhD results and reconnecting with the EM community to explore potential Post-Doc opportunities. I was fortunate to attend an event with far more participants than expected, giving me the chance to discuss my research and future plans with several prominent researchers in the field. The variety of topics presented, both in oral and poster formats, provided valuable updates, especially after my year-long absence due to maternity leave.
I would like to thank the GSGS for funding my travel, which allowed me to present my research as a poster and gain insightful feedback and ideas from other experts.
