Water in the atmosphere

Abstract. Almost everything we know, and everything important that we don’t know, about the atmosphere and climate is rooted in our basic understanding of water.  In this talk I will illustrate how climate science follows the water, and show how advances in high-performance computing are changing the way we look at the climate system, and water’s role therein.
