Food and nutrition security is one of the planet’s most important problems. In recent years, new research approaches and methodologies have been developed that are reshaping this field. In this two-day event, participants will be introduced to these new approaches and methodologies. It is designed for graduate students from fields including Geography, Sociology, Development Studies and Economics.
Bill Pritchard is Professor Human Geography at the University of Sydney, Australia, and International Faculty at the University of Cologne. He is the lead co-author of Feeding India (2014, Earthscan) and lead co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Food and Nutrition Security (2016, Routledge).

Application
The deadline for applications has passed. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection procedure by the 11th of April.
This masterclass is aimed at doctoral candidates in Geography, Sociology, Development Studies and Economics at the University of Cologne. Advanced Master students and postdocs in relevant fields are welcome to apply.
We have space for approximately 15 people.
To apply, we ask you to send us your details and a motivation statement of no more than 250 words. Please use the application form. Selection of the participants will take place based on the relevance of their field and their motivation.
